Other Casino Games

Almost everyone who owns a computer with the Windows operating system has played the solitaire game at least once. When computers were new and most games were simple, to be able to shuffle and deal the cards without having to pick them up seemed a wonderful innovation.
Today some have moved up to the game Free Cell or even Hearts. When it comes to internet gambling sites there is much more than just card games. In fact, it is no great feat for programmers to be able to duplicate any and all the games from brick and mortar casinos. Below is a list of the three most popular.

Slots
|
There is not much to the strategy for playing slot machines. The game consists of hitting a button to spin wheels with various symbols. If the wheels stop with several or all the symbols matching on the center line, the player wins. Players also can vary the amount of their bets. Machines generally take only one denomination of coin. Odds of winning vary based on the bet, the number of spinning reels, and the number of symbols on each reel. That is the simple explanation. There are many variations. Some machines offer progressive payouts based on the rules for the particular machine.

Roulette
|
Roulette is a French game where a wheel with either 38 or 39 numbers is spun in one direction and a ball is spun in the opposite direction. Winners are determined based on the number slot in which the ball lands. Bets are placed before the wheel and ball are spun on a large betting table that offers many variations, such as an individual number, odd or even, black or red. Payouts are based on the amount wagered and the odds of the betting combination chosen.

Craps
|
Before blackjack took the top spot as the most popular game in casinos, craps was number one. It is an exciting, fast-paced game but has the drawback of the betting rules being more complicated than in most games. In the traditional type of craps, there are two types of players, the shooter and those watching. The shooter is the one who rolls the dice. Bets are placed on the outcome of the dice roll. Bets are different for the shooter than for the other players. As in roulette, there are many combinations of rolls on which to bet with varying odds and higher payouts for the long shots.
